He was predeceased by: his parents, Brijido DeLeon and Juanita Silvas DeLeon; his sister Janie D. Trevino; his son John Jr.; his grandson Stevie DeLeon; and his great grandchild Saint Michael Veloz.
He is survived by: his wife Marcella DeLeon; his children, Freddy DeLeon, Fabian DeLeon (JoLee), Steven DeLeon (Mechelle), Maria Nowell (Brian), Marcie Hernandez (John), Janie Kinsey (Chris), Elvera Sanchez (Alvino) and Irma Villanueva (Lowell); and his siblings, Beatrice Leal, Betty Estes, Brijido DeLeon (Lela), Rudy DeLeon and Joe DeLeon (Cindy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a few lifelong friends.
