It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juan Vasquez in Abilene, Texas, born in Stamford, Texas, who passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Elvira Vasquez; his son Samuel Vasquez; and his brother Tony Vasquez. He is survived by: his children, Bishop Joe S. Vasquez, Bobby (Marenda), James Vasquez, Cynthia (Alejandro Martinez) and Connie (Tony Garza); and his siblings, Jesse Vasquez, Lina Ortega, Lola (Jesse Sanchez), Mary Smith, Lydia (Victor Sanchez) and Elisa Bustamante. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and many more family and friends.
