She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Routh and Blanche Routh; her former spouse Bobbie Joe Duke; her husband George A. Metz; and her siblings, Harold, Sam, Helen, Jane, Margaret and Elizabeth.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bobbie Duke, Marilyn Pearce and Sandra Lindstrom (Greg); her grandchildren, Cassandra Pearce (Carlos Villarreal), Zachary Pearce, Kiel Eulberg and Ava Playle (Ian Playle); and her great grandchildren, Roman Villarreal Pearce and Audrey Ruth Playle.
Memorials may be given to the West Texas Rehabilitation Center in Katherine's name.
