With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn Elizabeth Thomas of Abilene, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 4, 2026 at the age of 37. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Michael McGuire; and her grandparents, Bobby, Carol Golden of Southside, AL, Lillian Pauline Quarles McGuire of Gadsden, AL, Vestor Mickey McGuire and Ret Mstr Sargent.
She is survived by: her significant other Andrew Thomas; her mother Cindy Golden McGuire of Centre, AL; her siblings, David (Erin) of Piedmont, AL and Diana (Nathaniel) of Easley, SC; her niece Lillian Faith McGuire; her nephew Aiden David McGuire of Piedmont, AL; her parents-in-law, Michael and Susan Thomas of Hendersonville, TN; her aunts, Vicky Lamb (Michael), Christy Morton (Ben) and Tina; and her uncle Mark Heatley of Charlotte, NC.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sand Rock Church of Christ. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Collier Butler Funeral Home (824 Rainbow Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901).
