She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Elmina Parson Murphree and Cody Murphree; her husband R. C. Brooks of Mercer's Gap Baptist Church; her siblings, Curtis Murphree, Roger Murphree, Pat Murphree and Bobbie Curtis; and her great grandchild Hunter Dennehy.
She is survived by: her children, LaVita Brininstool of Wylie and Ennis Brooks (Shirleen) of Albany; her brothers, Ray Murphree of Comanche and Billy Murphree (Patsy) of Monahans; her sister-in-law Jan Murphree of Comanche; her grandchildren, Marie Thorhauer (Martin) of Apache Junction, Bobby Brininstool (Kimbra) of Plano and Ennis Ray Brooks II (Lynell) of McKinney; her great grandchildren, Amber Dennehy (Justin) of Garland, Jagger Brininstool of Plano, Blaze Brininstool of Arkansas and Tawny Brooks of McKinney; her great great grandchild Savannah Dennehy (Jack Clark) of Garland; and her granddaughter Madelyn Kaye Clark. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
