He is survived by: his wife Deborah Dell Gardner Sockwell; his children, Dustin Sockwell (Christi Sockwell), Jeremy Sockwell (Jannah Sockwell), Kristen Sockwell Wheeler (Michael Wheeler), Hayley, Reagan, Taylor and Piper; his grandchildren, Emmah, Jacen, Tegan, Nolen, Hadde and Jaxen; his great grandchild Oakleigh; and his grandchildren, Cooper and Reese.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home (5701 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606).
