She is survived by: her spouse Bufford "Syl" Sylvester Carter; her sons, Ed Carter (Joy) and Larry Carter (Donna); her grandchildren, Michael Carter (Ronda), Steven Carter (Brandi), Heather Carter Powell (Jake), David Carter (Chloe), Chris Carter (Kathy) and Jennifer Carter Locke (Brad); her great grandchildren, Cameron Carter, Jacob Carter, Matthew Carter, Caden Carter, Jase Powell, Hazel Powell, Allyson Carter and Kathryn Carter; and her great great grandchild Elizabeth Carter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the North's Funeral Home (242 Orange St, Abilene, TX 79601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Abilene City Cemetery (1133 Cottonwood St, Abilene, TX 79604).
