We announce the death of Max Berry of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 87. Max will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Berry and Julia Berry (Smith); his wife Wanda Jean Berry; and his siblings, Sonny Berry, Alton Berry, Frankie Zumwalt, Mildred Dodds, Sue Baxter and Annette Yates.
He is survived by: his children, Lesley Berry Wood (Ryan) of Abilene, TX and Lance Berry of Lampasas, TX; his grandsons, Hunter Chase Nall (Alex) of Abilene, TX, Caden Dewayne Nall of Miami, FL, Gaige Wood (Abi) of Hawley, TX and Peyton Wood (Aly) of Dallas, TX; and his great grandchildren, Jayse, Stetson, John, Archer and Murphy Faye. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
