She was predeceased by: her parents, Cola B. Atkinson and Charlie Atkinson; her husband Larry Labarthe; and her siblings, Charles "Bubba" Atkinson (Martha Newcome) and Janice A. Harkins (Bill Harkins).
She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanye Sayles Taylor of Fort Worth, Sherryl Sayles Thomas (Martin) of Dallas and Shannon Sayles Carter (Henry "Hank") of Richmond, Virginia; her grandchildren, Sarah Kate T. Jones (Zach), Grace T. Edsel (Philip), Luke Taylor, Lillyan T. Shelley (Ryan), Chase Thomas (Rachel), Natalie T. Forrest (Brent), Ramsey C. Williams (Elliot) and Elizabeth "Liza" C. Timmons (Paul); and her great grandchildren, Van, George, Henry Jones, Zibby, Fisher Shelley, Brady, Wesley Thomas, Harper, Scottie Mae Forrest, Kate Williams and Olive Norma Edsel. She is also survived by two nieces and four nephews.
