He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain John Philip Gutting and Betty Jean Gutting (Morris); his siblings, John Philip Gutting, Jr. and Ann Gutting; and his grandparents, Russell, Hilda Morris, Leo and Fanny Gutting.
He is survived by: his siblings, Graham Gutting (Dinah) of Abilene and Sarah Sheehan (Bill) of Cape Code; his sister-in-law Sue Gutting of Maryland; and his nieces and nephews, Rani, Jeff, Elizabeth, Mark, Catherine and Brian. He is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
