He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Mathieson and Mildred Mathieson; his daughter Renee Elmore; his granddaughter Molly McCurdy; and his brother Paul Mathieson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Darden; his grandson John McCurdy (Laura); his son Theo; his granddaughter Caroline Seikel (Michael); his great grandchild Vivian Renee; his son-in-law Bill Elmore; and his sisters, Ann Kent of Luling and Opal Klempa (Steve) of Tyler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
