He was predeceased by: his wife Hellen Jo Massey; his son Richard M Massey Jr.; his grandson Timothy Massey; his parents, William Massey and Ethel Lee Massey; and his siblings, James, Dewey Massey and Ruth Loyd.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle R. Massey of Hawley, Melissa R. Higgins (Robert) of Abilene, Ronald M. Massey (Kristy) of Abilene, Hugh T. Massey (Meg) of Abilene and Matthew C. Massey of Hawley. He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 12 Great grandchildren.
