She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynn Toliver and Beulah Toliver; and her siblings, Dot Hartsfield, Pat Sammons, Lila Virginia Toliver, Owen Henry, Morris and C. L. Jr. (Toliver).
She is survived by: her friend Buster Frederick Gholson; her children, Nancy Casey (Bill) of Abilene and Craig Shewmake (Roberta) of Abilene; her stepchildren, Becky Brazzel (Rick) of Idaho and Mike Gholson (Sandy) of Athens; her sister Jeffie Clifton of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren, Matt Casey, Lee Ann Watkins (Matt), Jeff Casey (Nichole) and Megan Sweet (John); and her great grandchildren, Dean, Audrey Watkins, Jayden, Justin Palacios, Kennedy, Lily Casey, Clara and Royce Sweet. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, step grandchildren, and friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Southside Baptist Church (1425 S 7th St, Abilene, TX 79602). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at the Calendar Elmwood Memorial Park (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606).
Memorials may be given to West Texas Rehabilitation Center.
