With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Hayes of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hayes and Helen Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Margarita Hayes; his daughter Susan Clark; his son-in-law Paul Clark of Aylesbury; his grandchildren, Clio Renee and Jack Robert Clark; his son Neil Hayes of Bedford; his grandchild Atticus Hayes; his daughter Mari Cockerell; his son-in-law Chris Cockerell of Abilene; his grandchildren, Robert Cash, Cecilia Josephine and Edward Everett Cockerell; his brother Jack Hayes of Weymouth, Massachusetts.; and also Buckinghamshire.
A graveside service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery (7457 W Lake Rd, Abilene, TX 79601).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters Abilene, in Robert's memory.
