He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerrye Dean and Isaac Williams; his grandfather E. A. Sims Sr.; his sister Barbara Lynn Brooks (Lisa); his grandmother Zilpher Sims; and his sibling's children, Adgren Brooks and Brandi Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Robbie Brooks; his daughters, Selisha Brooks, Stella Bell, April Green, Rachel, Rios, Kaylee Conner and Sharphira Fields; his siblings, Bennetta Sherman, Tyra Johnson, Donna Williams, Deborah Starks, Pat Williams, Sandra Johnson, Randall Brooks, Anthony Brooks, Bobby Brooks and Bennie Brooks; and his uncle Rev. Charles Sims. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mount Zion Baptist Church (520 Stafford, Abilene, TX 79601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mount Zion First Baptist Church (520 Stafford, Abilene, TX 79601).
