He was predeceased by: his parents, Trent Simmons and Annette Simmons; and his siblings, Phyl Simmons and Melinda Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Steven (Tessa), Scotty and Stacy Valdez (Andrew); his grandchildren, Stetson Simmons (Adrianna), Austin Simmons, Slade Simmons, Morgan Valdez, Sloan Simmons, Summer Simmons, Blake Valdez, Peyton Valdez and Hudson Valdez; and his sister Anna Kaye Simmons.
