It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Trenia Dawn Thornton of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Don and Iona Penrod (Baldree); and her sister Devin Galloway. She is survived by: her husband Steve Thornton of Abilene; her sons, Jerry Don Thornton (Lauryn) of Clyde, Kody Thornton (Cameron) of Clyde, Drew Parker (Carissa) of Montgomery, Jake Thornton (Carcin) of Abilene, Coleton McQuade (Anastasia) of Abilene and Reno Thornton (Jordan) of Granbury; her siblings, Keith Gruben of Abilene, Lance Parker (Anita) of Baird, Heath Parker of Lubbock, Dania Chisum of Abilene, Carolyn McCorkle (Marshall) of Abilene, Michelle Kuehl of Santa Monica and Belinda Moore of Granbury; and her pets, Cowboy and Sam Elliott. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild.
