He was predeceased by: his parents, Von Weldon Harris and Lometa June Harris (Young); and his pet Cuddles. He is survived by: his siblings, Weldon Richard (Sharon) and Rhonda Harris Smith; his nieces and nephews, Travis Smith (Yumiko), Aaron Smith (Jennifer), Christopher Harris (Amanda), Jennifer Sharp (Jeremy) and Amy Harris; his great-niece Stella Sharp; and his great-nephews, Ezra Sharp and Ethan Harris.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Houses for Healing or Hendricks Hospice Care, both located in Abilene, TX.
