He is survived by: his significant other Brenda Gibbens; his son Shawn; his stepdaughter Alyssa Perez; his siblings, John Garner, Jr. and Adrienne Schoemaker (Joe); and his granddaughter Kylie Garner. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
