He is survived by: his wife Iris Gilbert; his sons, Rain Korff Gilbert and Skye Atlee Gilbert; his brother Joe Lee Gilbert; his stepchildren, Tara Mihalski (Steve), Donald Schubert (Tina) and Christopher Schubert; his grandchildren, Matthew Doss (Elena), Cody Wagenfehr (Mikayla) and Cade Mihalski; and his great grandchildren, Barrett and Samuel Doss.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Chapel (13767 US Hwy 87 E p, Adkins, TX 78101). A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (14011 FM 1346, St Hedwig, TX 78152). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery (14011 FM 1346, St Hedwig, TX 78152).
