He is survived by: his nephew Scotty Smith; his wife Sarah Farmer Smith of Alba; his children, Brian Smith (Jill) of McKinney, Marsha Hale (Jeff) of Dallas and Johnny Burkett of Garland; his brothers, Marty Smith of Lake Tawakoni and Ross Smith (Karen) of Heath, Texas; his nephews, Michael Smith (Emma), Chad Smith (Melanie) and Corey Smith (Destiny); and his grandchildren, Garrett, Hailey, Casey, Kathryn and Cody Jack.
