He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Vernon and Mary Jane Phipps (Wallace); and his siblings, Vernon, Danny Phipps and Brenda Harkins.
He is survived by: his sons, Jason and Justin Phipps; his grandchildren, Austin, Parker and Mason Phipps; and his siblings, James Phipps and Margaret McAfee. He is also survived by extended family and a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Cemetery (565 Farm to Market Rd 1810, Decatur, TX 76234).
