He was predeceased by: his parents, Leona Hinze and John Carnes; and his wife Judy Kay Goodpaster. He is survived by: his children, Craig Carnes, Lisa Mason (Ward) and Tracey James (Joedon); and his grandchildren, Ryan Mason (Diadem), Kristen Mason, Sarah Pickering (Logan) and Ashley Pickering (Aaron).
