We announce the death of Marilyn Kay (Nettles) Walker of Aledo, Texas, born in Beaufort, South Carolina, who passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 72. Marilyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband James Walker; her father James Nettles; and her brother Steve Nettles. She is survived by: her mother Jean Nettles of Lake Worth, Texas; her children, Jamie Kropka (Kim) of Albuquerque and Katherine Kropka of Aledo, Texas; her grandchildren, Jordan Kropka, Jacob Kropka and Sophie Kropka; and her siblings, Jackie Galatas, David Nettles (Tanya) and Scott Nettles (Samantha). She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 8229 Jacksboro Hwy, Lakeside, TX 76135.
