He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vera Gallagher McDonough and Patrick Joseph McDonough; his family Irish; his wife Dolly; his children, Kathryn Greenup of Alice, Denise Eckenrode (Cory) of Bryan, Bryan McDonough (Veronica) of Waco, Linda Garcia (Ben) of Brenham and Melissa McDonough of College Station, Texas.; his grandchildren, Amanda Greenup Jahn (Larry), Danielle Greenup, Amber, Ashley, Abigail, Andrew Eckenrode, Cody McDonough (Brittany), Will and Emry McDonough; his great grandchildren, Lane, Avery Jahn and Eli McDonough; his siblings, Frank Hoelscher (Sherry), David Hoelscher (Natalie), Barbara McDonough, Marian "Sis" Hendricks, Pat "Sonny" McDonough and Mike McDonough; his parents-in-law, Regina "Deenie" Hoelscher and Frank J. Hoelscher; and his grandson Eric Greenup. He was also cherished by his brothers and sisters-in-law.
