He was predeceased by: his son Robert; his siblings, Joe and Mary; and his nephew Anthony. He is survived by: his wife Lauren Elayne Sowa; and his children, Michael Edelen (Jennifer), James Edelen (Leslie), Andrew Edelen (Kaylyn), Sharon Caanen (Jerry) and Angela Kilgore (Scott). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
