It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John M. Mankin (Alice, Texas), who passed away on March 8, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Grover Mankin; his son Jonathan T. Mankin; his mother Evelyn McGriff Sparks; his siblings, Emma Allen (Jimmy), Dorothy Rowland and Grover Mankin Jr. (Glenda); his in-laws, Juan and Margie Leon Guerrero; and his sister-in-law Gloria Shirley (Dave Shirley).
He is survived by: his friend Ruben Luna; his wife Ellie Leon Guerrero; his daughter-in-law Elaine Mankin; his brother Douglas W. Mankin (Maria Guerra Mankin); and his in-laws, Sylvia Benavente Dothan, Mary Salas (Roque), John Leon Guerrero (Ann), Margie Ann Guam (Franklin Artero) and Phillip Leon Guerrero (Marylou). He is also survived by numerous in laws, nieces, and nephews.
