He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Sanchez and Ramona F. Sanchez; his sons, Robert and Javier Sanchez; his grandchildren, John Michael Sanchez, Ein Michael Sanchez and Izaiah Salinas; his brother Federico Alaniz Jr.; and the mother of his children Belinda M. Sanchez.

He is survived by: his children, Maria Sanchez of Alice, Melinda Varela (Ray) of Alice, Juan Manuel "Sone" Sanchez Jr. (Lisa) of Agua Dulce, Venessa Mallett (Arnold) of Alice, Justin Michael Sanchez (Amelva) of Alice and Sone Sanchez (Audrey) of Alice; his stepdaughter Ashley Garcia of Alice; the mothers of children, Noemi Silva (David) and Gracie Canales (Roel); his son Amador Garza (Amber) of Alice; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Martinez, Alexis Escareno, Belinda Haley Jones, Robert Sanchez Jr., Destiny Sanchez, Victoria Davila, Ray Varela III, Jennifer Cordeor, Robert Jesse Varela, Raul Montano, Lee Estrada Jr., Gavin Salinas, Lewis Estrada, Trevor Sanchez, Felicity Sanchez, Zacharias Sanchez, Juan Sepulveda, Mia Sepulveda, Daniella Sepulveda, Bianca Mallett, Bryanna Mallett, Arnold Mallett, Ali-Jade Mallet, Jasmine Sanchez, Jacklynn Sanchez, Javier Sanchez, Moon Sanchez, Joshua Sanches, Jakeen Sanchez, Elaina Sanchez, Aubrey Sanchez, Josiah Martinez and Deshaun Davis. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Roberson Funeral Home (98 W Main St, Alice, TX 78332). A rosary was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
