He is survived by: his close friends, Rick Ruiz, Sam Bueno, Horacio Lomas, Sabas Perez, Noe Paez and Chuck Trevino; his wife Anna Liza Cavazos; his sons, Benjamin Cavazos (Marissa) and Jonathan Cavazos (Evelyn); his grandchildren, Alison Jade Cavazos, Brayden Jaxson Cavazos, Luna Garcia and Santiago Cavazos; his siblings, Viola Garza, Jose F. Cavazos (Anita), Sammy Cavazos (Socorro) and Melba Gonzalez (Raymond); and his sisters-in-law, Marisela Hinojosa (Eddie) and Marissa Rodriguez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
