William Surber Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Surber of Alice, Texas, born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on May 25, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Erich and Beulah Lurah Surber of Blanco; his wife Glenda Surber of Leakey; his daughter Dodie Pressler Collins of Harper; his siblings, Evelyn Hineline (Bud) of Blanco, Bud Surber (Margie) of Alice and Herb Surber (Dottie) of Marfa; and his mother-in-law Prentiss Stapleton of Leakey.

He is survived by : his uncle Willie (Wild Bill); his daughter Dana Hastings (Randy) of Alice; his son-in-law Barry Collins of Harper; his brother Charles Surber (Susan) of Burnet; his grandchildren, Kristopher Pressler (Tiffany) of Boerne, Kyle Pressler (Erin) of Boerne, Quint Collins of Harper, Karli Collins of Horseshoe Bay, Collin Bennett (Marianne) of Fordtran, Lexie Whitis (Trent) of Kingsville and Luke Hastings (Dylan Hastings) of Malden; his great grandchildren, Anna Marie Vaughn of Fordtran, Kali Fischer of Boerne, Kyndal Pressler of Boerne, Pepper Pressler of Boerne, Emma Pressler of Boerne, Ty and Hartley Whitis of Kingsville; and his friends, S. L. Bennett, Lee Pressler, Tim Caldwell, Wayne Miller, Mike Scallon and Glenda Curtis. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
