She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ervin Halcumb and Grace Faye Halcumb (Pendleton); her husband Gwendol Allen; her siblings, Helen Webb, Lena Roberson and Lloyd Halcumb; and her son Montie Nelson.
She is survived by: her friend Jerry Jones; her children, Keith Nelson (Cathy) of Perry, Dwain Nelson of McKinney, Kelvin Nelson (Dawn) of Lonoke, Arkansas and Tamra Dobbs (Roy) of Allen, Texas; her grandchildren, Jacqueline, Tabitha, Brittany, Jon, Destiny, Amber, Megan, Candice, Elizabeth, Jessica, Christy, Christopher and Jacob; and her siblings, Sue Shirley (Anthony) of Sherwood, Arkansas and Lonnie Halcumb (Sandy) of Grove, Oklahoma. She is also survived by other loving family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home (2525 N Central Expy, Allen, TX 75013). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
