He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Hutcheson Nall (Ernest A. Nall, III), Anne Claire Sisk and Amy Cathryn Ford (Troy L. Ford Jr.); his grandchildren, Joseph Dee Newton, Jr. (Taylor), William Thomas Buchanan, II (Elizabeth), Jonathan Brett Buchanan (Rebecca), William Todd Sisk and Emilie Anne Sisk (Ross); his great grandchildren, Isabella Anais Sisk Gonzalez, William Sisk (Tyler) and William Hudson Newton (Liam); his sister Rita Hutcheson Edgar; and his sister-in-law Gay Lynn Moots Johnson (Robert). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
