He was predeceased by: his parents, Havy Cornelius Boyd and Nancy Leath Cox Boyd; his wife Esther Boyd; and his siblings, Jamie Boyd Ward, Wilma Boyd Martin and Henry Will Boyd.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Boyd, Dean Boyd (Tanya), Terrie Swilling (Mark) and Janice Harres (Charlie); his grandchildren, Natalie Harres Marlow (Billy), Paul Swilling (Lauren), Andrew Harres (Coyellen), Caroline Swilling Mejia (Nestor), Derrick Boyd and Dillon Boyd; his great grandchildren, Alice Swilling, Miles Swilling, Ellie Mejia and Westin Marlow; his sisters-in-law, Pearl Boyd and Loy Bell Ballam; and his caregiver Paul. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Plano.
