We are sad to announce that on April 26, 2024, at the age of 79, Phil Johnson of Allen, Texas, born in Gainesville, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Johnson and Sally Wright (Carter); and his sister Gail Roane. He is survived by : his wife Shirley Ross of Allen; his children, Clint Johnson (Shonda) of Mabank and Angela Ashley; his grandchildren, Taylor Tobey (Matt) of Mabank and Colbey Johnson (Megan) of Canton; his great grandchildren, Kaydence Tobey, Parker Johnson and River Tobey; his sister Brenda Haygood of Hugo, OK; his brother-in-law John Roane of Valley View; his niece Cindy Chadwick; and his nephews, Brent Wilkerson, Derek Eades and J. D. Roane.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (710 Fair Ave, Gainesville, TX 76240).
