With sadness, we share the passing of Evangelist Jessie Moore of Alto, Texas. Evangelist, born on November 9, 1936, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earnest Freeney and Roxanne Simpson; her husband J. B. Moore; her siblings, Kalanda Humphrey and Vernon Freeney; her great grandchildren, Kobe and Kason; and her sons-in-law, Matthew Hackney, Donny Hogg Sr., Lawson Ward and Sherman Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria A. Hackney, Mary A. Hogg, Janie Ward, Jessie Faye Moore Mitchell, Janette Moore, Angela Moore, Eddie Moore and Jerry Bernard Moore. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Service, Inc. (649 San Antonio Rd, Alto, TX 75925). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Weeping Mary Baptist Church.
