She was predeceased by: her parents, Claire Ola Heath Sides and T. H. Sides; her siblings, Betty Sue Flowers, Janice McGarity, Mildred Anita Sides, Harold Wayne Sides of Alto and Thomas Dudley Sides; and her grandson Peyton Giblin.
She is survived by: her husband Clayton Brown of Alto; her children, Heath Giblin of Nacogdoches, Brandi Hughes (Scotty) of Rusk and Amberli Dowling (Carl) of Alto; her grandchildren, Billy Lindsey, Bethani Cook (Ryan), Gabe Giblin, Audrey Giblin, Carl Dowling Jr., Christopher Dowling and Alexandria Dowling; her great grandchildren, Jameson Cook, Alexi Cook and Connor Dowling; and her sister Emily Pate. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a slew of kids that called her Momma/Nana.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O. T. Allen & Son Funeral Home (649 San Antonio Rd, Alto, TX 75925). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the O. T. Allen & Son Funeral Chapel (649 San Antonio Rd, Alto, TX 75925).
