In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Redland Cemetery in Douglass, TX, Swan Wood-Springs United Methodist Church in Tyler, TX, Hospice of East Texas, or a charity of choice.

“Dear Patti, Wendy and Mark, Billy Walters was my mother's grandfather. Her mother, Fetna, was a child of his first wife. I remember coming with my mother, Lomarae Summers, to Cushing to visit the relatives who lived in a big white house. In recent years, Margie, my brother's wife, Lois and I met your father at the restaurant there and he invited us to the farm. We all loved him during these last years and will miss him. I hope to meet you all one day in East Texas, Love, Marcia Steere”
