He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Byram (Reynolds) and Loren Ray Smith; and his sister Lisa Reedy. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Ann Smith (Thomas); his children, Amanda Simpson, Miranda Hankis and Mark Ray Smith Jr.; his brother Tracy (Tonya Smith); and his grandchildren, Robert Simpson Jr., Emille Simpson, Aaron Simpson and Aodhan Hankis.
