She was predeceased by: her husband Ben Whatley; her siblings, Patsy Burkett, Wanda Williamson and George Talbot; and her son-in-law Wade Kirk.
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Whatley of Winchester, Sandy Kirk of Alvin, Texas. and Virginia; her grandchildren, Ronnie King (Crystal) of Alvin, Virginia, Damond Kirk (Marilyn) of Angleton and Brandi King of Alvin, Texas.; her brother Carl Talbot of Pearland; and her close friend Tommie Cox of Alvin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Lutheran Church of Alvin.
