She was predeceased by : her husband Joe Harrel Knape; her parents, William LeCompte and Annette LeCompte; her sons, Gary Knape and Larry Knape; and her brothers, David LeCompte and Eugene LeCompte.

She is survived by : her children, Teresa Elaine Axelson (Ken), Judy Kubena (E. J.), Gregg Knape (Cheryl) and Andy Knape (Roxann); and her siblings, Rose Phillips, Alice Pratt, Raymond LeCompte, William LeCompte and Roy LeCompte. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
