He was predeceased by: his parents, Creed Flanary and Isabel Flanary; his brother Creed Flanary; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Flanary and Gennie Flanary.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Flanary; his children, Donna Thompson (Howard) and Steve Flanary (Livia); his brother John Flanary (Betty, Gene Flanary); and his grandchildren, Cody, Parker, Cynthia, Crystal, Justin, Jeremy, Jacob and Denise. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
