With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Rene Champion of Alvin, Texas, born in Bessemer, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2025 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph Champion; her daughter-in-law Debra Champion; her parents, Fred White and Lorene White; and her brother Jerry White.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Champion, Darren Champion (Tracy), Scott Champion (Jody) and Sheila Haynes (Jeff); her sisters, Mary Ray, Judy Culp and Ann Hammond; and her grandchildren, Nikki, Kassey, Cynthia, John, Tony, Garrett, Lara, Stephen and Justin. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; along with numerous extended family.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (1421 E Hwy 6, Alvin, TX 77511). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Confederate Cemetery (998 Dickinson Rd, Alvin, TX 77511).
