She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodoro Esquivel and Ignacia Esquivel; her son Carlos Brinkerhoff; her husband Melvin E Brinkerhoff; and her siblings, Dora Velasco, Louisa Vera, Lupe Villenueva, Odelle Esquivel, Petronilo Esquivel (Nilo), Joe, Emilio Esquivel and Alex Esquivel.
She is survived by: her sister Emma Blair; her grandchildren, Brandi Mathews (Brinkerhoff) and Antonio Brinkerhoff; and her great grandchild Michael McDonnold III. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and countless relatives.
