She was predeceased by : her parents, Edd Henry and Thelma Henry; her brother Edd Henry Jr.; her nephew Jason DeVasier; and her husband Don Smith.

She is survived by : her sisters, Phyllis Henry Fortune and Patsey DeVasier-Cox; her son Leonard Groce (Erin); her stepdaughters, Tina D'Astoli (Gene) and Sharla Pointer (Johnny); her nephews, Brian DeVasier and Mark Fortune (Kathleen Christie); her niece Amy Fortune Perry (Richard); her grandchildren, Everett Groce, Amber Rodgers-Mendez (Jeff), Michael D'Astoli, Avery D'Astoli, Jazlyn Pointer, Kylee Pointer and Jace Pointer; and her great grandchildren, Caleb Mendez, Roman Rodgers and Valentina Rodgers.
