Though Melvin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Melvin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Strawn and Leslie Strawn; and his daughter Michelle Thomas. He is survived by: his son Melvin Strawn, Jr. (Tiffany); his sisters, Murl Kelso and Ivanell Matheny; and his close friend Larry Drabek. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives.
