With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virgil Bowden of Alvin, Texas, born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 20, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Virgil shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Virgil farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel; his parents, Hugh Bowden and Leola Bowden; and his siblings, Joe, Ester and Wilma Jean.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathy Stout (Dan), Joy Tafolla (Greg), Elaine Rice and Jacki Draper (Dean); and his sisters, Ruby Hennigar and Dorthy Pregler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
