He was predeceased by: his wife Helen DeJong; his daughter Deborah Malave; and his sister Grace Maupin. He is survived by: his daughter Linda Gilmer of Katy, TX; his sisters, Sally Snow of Phoenix, AZ and Gretchen Hewitt; and his grandchildren, William Malave, Scott Malave, Julia Eigenmann, Suzanne Malave and Melanie McManus. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
