He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rafael Alvarado and Anselma Alvarado (Valdez); his wife Rafaela Salazar; his children, Augustine, Jr. and Betty Aragon; his grandson Donald "Tre" Encinias, III; his children, Becky Urias, Vicky Encinias (Donald), Linda Guerrero (Robert), Rosie Gonzalez (Raul), Jimmie Alvarado (Harriet), Joe Alvarado (Heather) and Ricardo Alvarado; and his sisters, Marilyn Garza and Paula Schmidt. He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
