He was predeceased by: his parents, Verna McDowell and Kenny Brough McDowell; and his siblings, Joy Cox, Elmo and Elvin McDowell (Dana McDowell).
He is survived by: his wife Elaine McDowell; his daughters, Valorie Allen (Walt Wilson) and Reverend Jennifer Moreno (Ryan); his stepchildren, Sherri Vance, Charles Case Jr. (Adina) and Douglas; and his siblings, Bill McDowell, Leland McDowell and Carolyn Robertson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren, and 6 great-greatgrandchildren.
