He was predeceased by: his father James Gist; and his sister Barbara Brogdon. He is survived by: his wife Angie Gist; his children, Athena Fallin (Jon) of Amarillo, Michael Martin (Maribel) of Amarillo, David Gist of Amarillo, J. D, Martin (Tiffany) of Houston, James Gist (Ceslea) of Amarillo and Connor Gist of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Edward Clyde Fallin, Phoebe Tallulah Fallin, Hayden James Gist, Michael Antonio Martin, Joe Don Martin Jr. and Sophia Rose Martin; and his mother Shirley Gist. He is also survived by extended family and close friends.
